RECRUITING NEW FISHERMEN/FISHERWOMEN
Recently, East Tennessee Drifters held its second annual school drawing at
T. A. Dugger Junior High in Elizabethton, Tennessee. The winners received a free guided trip on the Watauga River.
The trip generated over 300 entries. Fellow guide Charlie Hayes, former T. A. Dugger student, volunteered his time.
It's great to see so many young people interested in fishing. The future looks bright for our sport.

Tennessee. This small scenic town is where the famous Watauga River flows through the Appalachian Mountains.
My name is James Jacobs and I'm a local so I see the Watauga River every day. I'm just
minutes away from the South Holston River, another of America's premier trout tailwaters. I'm also a short drive from
the North and South Fork of the Holston Rivers for smallmouth, as well as the New River in southwestern Virginia.
